Greetings from Mexico and an update of what we are working on! 

Mexico City has purple trees called Jacarandas just in the spring time - around March. 

 Just before we left Kuujjuarapik-Whapmagoostui, Laura George Whapmagoostui Cree chief's wife, and mother of Stephen - ARTCO participant-, introduced us to Albert Ward.Albert was in town to do perform some traditional ceremonies. Laura, asked us to talk to him, film and share this with the ARTCO children.

Last Friday Gabriela (in Montreal) talked to Janina, Rhoda, Elizabeth, Rachel, Billy and other children at the Inuit school in Kuujjuarapik.

He brought his iPod to the hospital. Too bad he doesn't have wifi Internet because that's the only reason why he is not uploading

Glen broke his leg yesterday morning playing soccer. He was sent to Montreal on the emergency medical plane. He is getting an operation in an hour. Let's all send him our best wishes!

John helped us with everything at the gym. Thank you John!

From another perspective

A contribution between the Community Gym, the Cree and the Inuit Schools. This is just the first part of the food, we received much more and it was all gone by the end of the expo.

Trisha is preparing her iPod for the expo while Liam is helping us to carry the instruments back to the expo place.

Some of the children just realized that everything they uploaded through their iPods was available on the website. On the last day with the Cree children we went to the computer lab and show them the website. We also gave each one of the participants a USB key with a selection of videos and pictures is everyone and with all of the material presented at the expo.

Sam did the whale at the Cree school and Derial helped him to finish.

Last Saturday we got together - the four workshop artists - to do our own mural using the pictures and the videos the Inuit and the Cree children did. This is the result of our efforts after 11 hours. We did this timelapse using the iPods. And the audio is a test for the music workshop that is about to start! 

Glen, can we use your picture to make some ARTCO t-shirts and DVD's for you guys?
