Jacob Okatsiak is a hip-hop artist from Arviat, Nunavut. As a kid, he performed at his local church and learned to play drums, piano, and guitar. Inspired by other Indigenous rappers, Jacob began to rap and record his own music, building a northern fan base.
Malachi Paungalak is an Arviat-based dancer who has been shaping the lives of children and youth through dance. He began to teach himself dance in order to escape reality. He also hopes to be able to pass on their passion for dance to other youth, fostering their love and appreciation for movement and music.
Shelton Nipisar is an Arviat-based dancer who has been shaping the lives of children and youth through dance. He grew up in Arviat where he has been dancing for as long as he can remember.
